Representation on the Ground

This presentation will include three components: (1) Defining the role of a steward; (2) Arming yourself will all the necessary tools to be proficient in the representational role; and (3) Basic 1-2-3 of filing grievances and arbitration.

• Participants will be able to recall the definition and key responsibilities of a steward, necessary tools for representation, and basic steps in filing grievances and arbitration.
• Participants will be able to explain the importance of the steward's role, the essential tools for effective representation, and the basic procedures for filing grievances and arbitration.
• Participants will be able to apply the knowledge and tools for effective representation in hypothetical scenarios.
• Participants will be able to analyze different scenarios to identify effective strategies for representation and common pitfalls in filing grievances and arbitration.
