Led by a certified Parliamentarian, this course will teach “Parliamentary Law and Procedure” based on requirements set forth by the Department of Labor for Labor organizations. The instructor will cover voting, making motions, debate, amendments, authority of the chair, and committees. This course will enable locals to work within the legal guidance of DOL regulations in their decision-making.

  • Participants will be able to recall the key components of parliamentary law and procedures, including voting, making motions, debate, amendments, authority of the chair, and committee functions.
  • Participants will be able to explain the importance of parliamentary procedures and how they ensure compliance with Department of Labor regulations for labor organizations.
