One-on-One Conversations
The aim of the One-on-One Conversations training is to provide guidance on how to use the most impactful tool in organizing, which is the One-on-One Conversation. This training begins by explaining the meaning of NOW (Network of Organized Workers) as AFGE’s strategy for growing membership, what one-on-one conversations are and how to have effective one-on-one conversations.
- Explain the key elements and purpose of one-on-one conversations in the context of union organizing.
- Demonstrate the ability to initiate a one-on-one conversation with a potential union member using the techniques discussed in the training.
- Analyze a recorded or live one-on-one conversation to identify strengths and areas for improvement.
