Political Activities and Government Employees

This presentation is a course to guide union officials’ laws and statutes compliance. Participants will study the Hatch Act as it relates to political activity by the federal sector and D.C. government employees. Participants will learn the dos and don’ts of political activity in the workplace.

• Participants will be able to recall the key provisions and restrictions of the Hatch Act.
• Participants will be able to explain the rationale behind the Hatch Act and its impact on federal and D.C. government employees.
• Participants will be able to analyze different workplace scenarios to identify potential violations of the Hatch Act.
